Who is  the 100 Black Men of Sonoma County?

The 100 Black Men of Sonoma County, Inc. was founded in 1990 and has provided services to the Africian-American community for over 20 years. 100 Black Men of Sonoma County, Inc. is a California Non-Profit organization and an IRS 501(c)(3) and State of California tax exempt origanization.

Education / Mentoring Programs

 

The Sonoma County Chapter is committed to the intellectual development of youth in the community especially African American youth by providing activities that address: Academic Achievement, Positive Self Identity, Life Skills, Social and Emotional Wellness, Moral Character Development, a strong Work Ethic and Lifelong Learning.

The Chapter provides education/mentoring services to assist with the understanding of college/university eligibility requirements, admissions, financial aid, and scholarships. In addition, we offer our own college scholarships in cooperation with the Sonoma County Foundation since 1996. These activities are offered to youth through group mentoring and by individual presentations.

The National Organization is 100 Black Men of America, Inc.

100 Black Men of America, Inc. is headquarters in Atlanta, GA with 110 Chapters including England, and the Caribbean. There are over 10,000 members from a myriad of professions including corporate executives, physicians, attorneys, entrepreneurs, elected officials, professional athletics, educators, and men from numerous other professions.The members of "The 100," as it is widely known, have created programs and events that provide an environment for the community as a whole where young people are encouraged and motivated to learn and achieve.
